Are you compatible with Zwave?

Zwave and Avi-on (Bluetooth mesh) use completely different radio frequencies (Zwave uses 900Mhz and Bluetooth uses 2.4 Ghz), so there is no way for them to directly talk to each other.

Some gateway providers may bring out compatilbility for both systems in the future.  Avi-on will be releasing published interfaces (API’s) to make this possible.

Because we use Bluetooth, the Avi-on system is able to work directly between mobile phones and the devices, without an intermediate gateway, and has much faster response time.  This will not be possible with Zwave because mobile phones do not contain Zwave compatible  radios.
