Creating Groups

The Avi-on app offers grouping capabilities to make your experience practical and intuitive. Groups have their own home page, similar to other features in the app. 

Creating Groups

This screen is where all of your groups will live. Tap the large plus sign in the center of the screen, or in the top right corner, to make your first group. Then enter a unique name for your group and tap Done.

Next you will be prompted to add members to your Group. Touch and drag devices from the bottom of the screen towards the top of the screen to add them to your Group. Once finished adding members to your group, press Next. You will then see a screen that says “Saving…” with a status bar.

That’s it! After your group is saved, you will be brought to the “Group Settings” menu. If you are familiar with the “Device Settings” menu, the functionality is nearly identical. 
Also keep in mind that GROUPS do not show status (offline or online). You can check status on a Device level. Because in large, complex networks, devices can belong to multiple groups and be on multiple schedules. The group may contain devices that are in different states.
