American Towers came to Avi-on with unique needs. They occupied a three-story office building with a mixed bag of circuit controls as the result of multiple previous tenants and partial lighting updates. The need for one large company to control thousands of fixtures wirelessly in such a complex environment made the simplicity of the Avi-on Bluetooth® environment an obvious solution. Avi-on controls perform in small- and large-scale installations.

This large industrial facility with over 1400 fixtures, is divided into warehouse, production, and office spaces. This large defense contractor had a lighting system controlled by large 480v breakers which was a danger to the staff and security. The factory layout left no room to run conduit for lighting control switches, large CNC machinery covered the production floor which for most wireless lighting protocols would leave huge dead spots and cause poor performance, and the system could have no gateway or outside internet connection insure the highest security for a DOD managed site.

The wireless lighting controls of the offices of a major medical manufacturer lost a fight with their building’s Wi-Fi. The solution was to pull out the old system and replace it with Avi-on Bluetooth® Lighting Controls.

Now the office lighting control system simply works.

When lighting designers were looking for a way to have the backlight of the Chicago skyline mural in the Hotel Chicago lobby mimic day and night along the Chicago skyline, they came to Avi-on for lighting controls. Avi-on Bluetooth® Lighting Controls enable the skyline to change between daytime and nighttime scenes, automatically adjusting for the seasons. During the day, the mural is backlit with cool LED lighting giving the feel of daylight and at night by warm LEDs for the warm glow of the city lights.
