Controls also play an increasingly vital role in building and life safety systems.

Please join us in Park City for an energizing and informative few days focused on deepening your knowledge of specifying and using controls to achieve multiple design objectives.

Meet the Product Team and General Industry Trends – Join a session hosted by Avi-on executives and product management to discuss new feature requests, review the Avi-on product and service roadmap, and explore emerging trends in technology, customer needs, and code requirements. This open-ended conversation will spark ideas about key industry trends and directions.

Check into the Hyatt Place Park City (4377 North Hwy 224, Park City, UT 84098). You should have already booked a reservation using the provided link. Avi-on will cover room costs and provide meals.
5:30 PM-9:00 PM
Join us for a casual evening of dinner and drinks (details to be provided). A reserved area will be set aside for Avi-on guests, offering a relaxed atmosphere to unwind and connect. Arrive and depart at your leisure, depending on your travel plans. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Wired vs. wireless technology (hint: it’s not a choice)
  • Wireless interference: what to worry about and what not to worry about
  • Cybersecurity implications for wired and wireless systems
  • Avi-on product overview and high-level design guidelines for different building spaces

New Product Showcase – Introduction to Avi-on’s products and capabilities.

Lunch & Product Demo Stations – Lunch served outside the meeting room.

  • Control Strategies – Exploring the pros, cons, and competitive positioning of zone, panel, and individual fixture control strategies.

  • Budgeting Lighting Controls – How to easily create controls budgets and position the right solutions across various facility types, including schools, offices, warehouses, outdoor spaces, and public buildings.

  • Delivery & Installation – Understanding controls installation and programming workflows, best practices for training and working with electricians, project closeout, and the end user experience..

Advanced Capabilities Overview – Discuss critical but specialized control applications, including emergency lighting (UL 924) compliance, energy data collection and analysis, building control integration, end-user self-help tools, and building life safety options using lighting controls.

Long-Term Customer Support and Accommodating Post-Install Changes – How to ensure the end user continues to have a great experience with the project and can adapt lighting and controls as building needs and operational conditions evolve.

Depart for dinner (Details will be provided). Transportation and dinner provided by Avi-on.

Return to hotel. Transportation provided.

Alternatively, explore Park City’s Old Town and its historic watering holes. Easy transportation to and from the hotel is available if you choose to explore.

 Formal sessions conclude. Attendees may depart if needed.

Friday, September 26 - Optional Activities
Avi-on invites you to enjoy a relaxing day of fly fishing in the scenic mountains and rivers of Park City.

Breakfast in Mountain Range Meeting Room.
7:45 AM
Fly fishers depart from the front of the hotel. Transportation provided. Return at noon.
3:30 PM
Activities conclude.

Avi-on will cover hotel expenses in Park City for Friday night for those who choose to stay. No hosted meals will be provided. Uber or shuttle services to the airport are readily available from the Hyatt Place or anywhere in Park City.
