Avi-on Energy Monitoring
Fixture-Level Energy Data,
Not Circuit-Level Estimates

Rebate programs and DLC 5.0 requirements increasingly call for measured energy data, not circuit-level estimates. This issue of Avi-on Product News takes a closer look at Avi-on Energy Monitoring — designed to give facility teams fixture-level visibility, recorded automatically every 15 minutes.

Avi-on Energy Monitoring

Avi-on’s energy monitoring service collects complete data every 15 minutes on every enabled device, including a full record of dimming status and motion sensor triggers. Data is available in real time through the Avi-on energy management portal, where it can be viewed directly or exported in CSV, XLS or PDF format, and the same data is accessible in real time through the Avi-on Web Services API.

That level of detail gives facility teams the insight to track fixture performance, benchmark facility utilization and qualify for DLC 5.0 requirements and utility programs that require measured energy data. Because every device reports on a 15-minute interval, consumption trends are visible at the fixture level rather than estimated from circuit totals — making it straightforward to identify underperforming zones, verify schedule and dimming compliance and support rebate applications.

  • Reporting Interval: Every 15 minutes, per device
  • Data Captured: Energy consumption, dimming status, motion sensor triggers
  • Access: Avi-on energy management portal (CSV, XLS, PDF export) or real-time via the Web Services API
  • Hardware Required: Internal Fixture Adapter or Circuit Controller with energy measurement capability, plus an LTE/Ethernet Bridge
  • Subscription: 3-year and 5-year service licenses, plus a rebate-compliance configuration; data retained on Avi-on servers for the life of the subscription
