Avi-on Completes
NIST 800-171 Certification
Avi-on has completed the certification process for NIST 800-171 cybersecurity. NIST 800-171 covers a wide range of cybersecurity categories including password control, data encryption, and network integrity for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This standard is frequently referenced by US Government agencies approving IT systems for use in Government facilities, including the US Military.
Avi-on CEO said; “We are pleased to have added yet another security standard to the growing list of Avi-on security certifications, including UL 1376 Platinum.” NIST 800-171 focuses specifically on the needs of US Military and other Government Agencies to protect potentially sensitive information about their operations and other data that might be discoverable from the lighting control system.”
NIST 800-171 is similar in scope to SOC2, commonly used in the private sector, but is more comprehensive.
Avi-on provides customer access to the NIST 800-171 documentation upon request and execution of an NDA.

Avi-on Launches Dedicated Mobile Commissioning App
To better serve our rapidly expanding commercial user base, last month, Avi-on split its mobile applications into commercial and residential versions. The new commercial Avi-on Commissioning App is optimized for commercial controls installers doing small- to medium-sized installations. It is available free for download in Google Play and iTunes.
