What to do when Stuck on the “connecting” screen for GE product

Please check FOUR things.

1) You may be attacking your ONE switch with MANY phones or tablets. LOGOUT of the Avi-on app on all but ONE phone or tablet. SOLUTION HERE: Refresh Connections

2) Your phone AND switch need to be “refreshed.” SOLUTION HERE: Refresh Connections 

3) Still can’t get past the connecting screen? Did you update the switch’s firmware to 1.10.0 when you opened your account? If not, then the switch may not be broadcasting properly. SOLUTION HERE: Update Firmware

4) Still can’t get past the connecting screen? Did you purchase an out of box return or a GE Zwave device? Unfortunately, out of box returns are often broken and will not connect. By the way, GE Zwave devices (red or green stripe on box) will NOT work with Avi-on. Please purchase a bluetooth device with a blue stripe on the box.
